Hi, I’m Jay. I’m a photographer based in Sydney. I am also a passionate traveler and a golfer and this is my personal blog. A place which helps me document my struggles and triumphs in an unending pursuit of more life.
Hi, I’m Jay. I’m a professional photographer, an IT specialist and quite recently a very passionate golfer. I’ve had a set of golf clubs over the last 20 years or so, but I only really started playing in August of 2017. My was not even to get serious with the game of golf, but rather to find an enjoyable way to make 10,000 steps a day. I picked up golf to lose weight and to get fitter, but very quickly it became a bit of an obsession.
I’ve always been a sporty type. I played tennis, badminton and I’m a very good table tennis player, but these are a younger man’s sports. I needed something more suited for a middle aged man and something that even an old man can still play and enjoy. Golf was the obvious choice.
I am a bit of a perfectionist, so just walking around and smacking a ball every now and then was never going to be good enough. I had to learn to play competently to really enjoy the game.
This golf blog is an account of my journey to become a good golfer. To really learn and understand the game and to get my handicap to scratch or close to it.
